Why Choose a Bad Ass Welder Cord?

If you don’t have an extension cord for your welder, you are severely limiting the scope of your operation and, frankly, you’re missing out on jobs. It’s a fact: not every project can come to your shop. (Sometimes the project won’t even fit in your shop, right?)

The bottom line is that there are times when you have take your welding equipment to the project. When those opportunities occur, whether for new commercial construction, maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), industrial or general welding, a Bad Ass Welder Extension Cord is the recommended solution.

Our heavy duty 8/3 (8 AWG, 3 conductor) welder extension cords have industry standard NEMA 6-50 plugs and connectors, which are necessary for 50amp circuits. The clear, lighted ends are molded on and are guaranteed not to separate from the cord body. Each of the three conductors contains 133 strands of 29 AWG 100% pure copper wire, to ensure the voltage drop to your machine is negligible. We offer our welding extension cords in three lengths (20, 25 and 50 feet) in order to give you a range of portability when you are in the field.

The cords have thick, 600 volt STW jackets that are designed to remain flexible and pliable under full load use. The heavy insulation protects the wiring from chemicals, oil, grease and abrasives. When you drag a Bad Ass welder cord over concrete in the shop or through debris and unknown solvents on the jobsite, you know you’re still safe!

What more could you ask for in a welder extension cord? How about active power transmission monitoring and ground continuity monitoring? These highly desirable safety components are standard features on our OSHA-compliant welder cords. But wait, as they say, there’s more! We even put convenient, fold-away handles on the lighted plugs and connectors, for easier connects and disconnects.

Bad Ass Welder Extension Cords are compatible with MIG, TIG, ARC or similar portable welders and plasma cutters from all major manufacturers and brands. They can also be used with certain air conditioners and electric vehicle chargers that are equipped with a NEMA 6-50 plug.
